I visited Walla Walla on the 35th and 45th anniversaries of our sister city affiliation, respectively.
Now, with the new coronavirus epidemic, it is not so easy to travel abroad, and I feel very lucky to have been able to visit the wonderful place of Walla Walla twice.
What I particularly remember when I hear the word Walla Walla is going to the Indian museum and learning about the history of Walla Walla.
Until now, I had only seen Walla Walla as a sister city of Sasayama, but visiting the Native American museum and learning about the historical background of Walla Walla has deepened my understanding and made me like Walla Walla even more.
I would like to express my gratitude to the people involved in maintaining the sister city exchange over the years and giving us the opportunity to experience the local people and culture.
